Cow Lane to Thames Promenade

I took the long-fabled Cow Lane footpath to the Thames Promenade. (I'd been told about it, but it seems it had a 'do not enter' sign at some stage during the works on the railway bridge, so I was told; anyway, I've never used it before.) It's a broad public footpath that brings you out onto the wide grassy riverside just west of Caversham Bridge.
And yes, there are cows in a field beside the lane. I wondered (as I always do, on this riverbank) why I forgot to become an investment banker, so I could buy a beautiful riverside mansion with a boathouse. Oh well.
