NO ENTRY

I checked to see if there were any more direct routes to the riverside (which involves passing under the railway line westwards from Reading) that I didn't know about. Nope, there's Scours Lane and Cow Lane, and nothing in between. There are in fact two railway arches between those two, but the land on the other side is private, so I can get tantalisingly close to fields and trees and the river, but it's all fenced off. It would be great to have a public footpath there, but I can see why the farm and the equestrian centre in that area would be inclined to keep us out.
